Dates for Amarnath Yatra 2014
In its meeting, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board had decided to conduct the Amarnath yatra from 28th June, 2014. The Yatra will end of 20th August on the Day of Raksha Bandhan.

For 2014, the Duration of yatra is reduced by few days. In 2014, Yatris can have the Darshan of Mighty Shivlinga for 44 Days.
Registration Process for Yatra-2014

As expected the Registration Process for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is being done offline as we have in Last Year. In 2014, the Registration Process had started from 1st March, 2014. People over 75 years of age and children below 13 years are not allowed to perform the yatra
The Registration can be done through the Registration form available at the Counters of Designated bank branches.
Along with Registration form, you also need to Submit Compulsory health Certificate (CHC) from the Designated Doctor. The CHC issued only after 1st Feb, 2014 will be considered valid.

Helicopter Booking
There is also a provision or facility for yatris to perform the yatra through Helicopter. For 2014, the Helicopter fares are increased by upto 40% from 2013.
Those who wish to perform yatra through Helicopter need not have to register for Yatra, as their Helicopter Tickets will act as Yatra Permit.
